The Two Colors...

Two Great Ideas!
I've been experimenting with numerous things to see which sells the best. Business is picking up as Christmas draws closer and closer. This is a great time of year to be fun and creative! It's much easier to put things together because what colors does everyone have to have to go with their Christmas sweater...RED AND GREEN! These colors are so great to work with because you can find Christmas tree dangle earrings to hang other crystals on so all you have to do is put red and green beads together.

Another idea that I figured out that is pretty much the easiest thing in the world is to make some out of Christmas ornaments! The balls look really cute and they are so incredibly easy! They look stunning with sweaters! Theres so many things you can do for great Christmas earrings!

A Weak Spot!
Ok, we all know it's the time of year for presents! And if you're buying for a girl of course you can never go wrong with jewelry! Anything from earrings, necklaces, or bracelets we absolutely love it! Personally, that's a major weak spot of mine; even though I don't need it, it always seems like I have to have MORE MORE MORE!

Go With What's You!

There really is no particular craze going around. Basically this year, you just have to go with what you like! I think most of the favorites right now are crystals and pearls. At least that's what everybody has been buying out in my stuff. Putting colors together rather than just having one color is a fad now also. I'm using a lot of black and brown with other colors that just look great!

Develop New Tastes!
Be on the lookout for things you like this year. There are numerous styles available. Find one that suits your taste. If you're not a big jewelry wearer and wish you were, you can start now. Change the way people look at you and develop a new reputation for being in style!

Find Your Talent!

Let It Be Known!
People have many different hobbies such as crafty stuff that are great ideas! It's that time of year to be buying presents and if you have a knack for something, now is the perfect time to be doing it. Let people know you have a special talent! Sometimes they buy them for gifts for people and you can actually get money out of it; and sometimes, it's a cheap way to give a great gift to your family or friends.

Other Knacks
I don't just make jewelry, I have a lot of other creative things that I really enjoy doing and I get money out of! Painting glasses is another hobby of mine and my mom's. People love them and are able to tells us what they want on it. We do initials, designs, certain colors...anything people ask for. Around this time of year we also paint glass ornaments. The ones for babies turn out really cute! These are some I found on the internet, not the ones I've done, but they are very similar.

No Idea Is Stupid

I posted this blog because I felt like people needed to know that this time of year is the perfect time to experiment and discover hidden talents! People have many great ideas that they don't decide to do because they think "Oh, I'm not one of those talented people that can make it look good." But the truth is, if you have an idea, you are talented. Don't just think that you can't do it because you've never done it before; have a positive attitude. Once you create something you're very proud to say that you made it yourself. You'll also find that gifts like these...are sometimes the best gifts of all!

Don't Let Wearring A Uniform Crash Your Style

The Big Question!
One of my friends recently got a comment posted on her blog that was asking for advice. The question was: What do you do if you go to a school that requires uniforms?

Be You!
Well...my friend answered this question and to know what she said, click here. Like she said, it depends on what look you're going for and what kind of uniform it is. You want to make sure that whatever you do fits "you" and still looks good. So basically what I'm getting at, is you don't want to look like somebody you're not.

Is There A Need?
If it's something that goes all the way up to your neck such as a turtleneck or some sort of jacket or sweater, most of the time you don't need a necklace because it would be too much. However, if it's something that shows your collar bone, jewelry is a definite must! You can either go with chunky or small and dainty, depending on your sense of style.

Flatter Yourself!
If you go with chunky, I'd go with a gumball necklace and ball earrings to match. If you go with dainty, I would wear a small crystal necklace and earrings. When you do this, it's always good to pull your hair back some so you're jewelry will be noticed. This way, it flatters you more! If you have a different sense of style and have another idea of how you could flatter uniforms more, let me know!

It's So Easy...Anybody Can Do It!

How To!
I've always loved the necklaces with the big colorful gumballs. I created a new way to make my own and at the same time make it cute! It's very simple and fast. You can learn how to do it in these easy steps.

Get Your Gear....
You can go to Wal-Mart and get those wooden balls in the craft section. They only have a hole in one end so you have to drill a hole in the other end, but you'll find that's not a problem.Pick some colors that you want to do the necklace in, such as red and black for example.Get that color spray paint. Get some ribbon that go along with your colors. In this case it would be red and black, and it's always good to include white too.

Get Started...
Split the balls up half and half. Spray paint half of them black and half of them red. After the balls are dry, string them on the ribbon of your choice.

The Finishing Touch!
Then, cut little pieces of each of the ribbon. Tie one piece between each ball, alternating the ribbon. Depending on your style, you can choose to make the necklace long or short. I personally like the longer ones better. In the end you have a cute, fun necklace that is your personal masterpiece!

What's Yet to Come...
I know I have yet to put pictures of my work on here. I was planning on putting one with this post to show you guys what it looks like, but the ones I've recently made, I've sold so I have no necklace to take a picture of! By next week my goal is to have something of mine that you can actually look at. I'll still put a picture of this necklace on here so you can see how it's supposed to turn out. Enjoy!

Now Is The Time To Experiment!

What's "In"
Hey everyone! I'm having a hard time deciding what colors to make for this time of year. Although we always do good around Christmas time! It seems like darker colors are always more "in" around the fall season, but tell me your opinion. Crystals look amazing with sweaters! The earrings you see on the left would make this aeropostale sweater look even more stunning!

Play Around With Your Wardrobe!
I absolutely love the holiday season. It's the perfect time to play around with your wardrobe (including jewelry)! It's also the perfect time of year to go shopping for all of your jewelry while everything is on sale. Have fun with it! Experiment! Know which jewelry fits you!

Other Nifty Things!
Especially for the holiday season, my mom and I come up with a bunch of different crafty stuff that people love. She paints tea glasses and ornaments and people love them! They are able to tell her the colors and what they want on it and she does it. It's something we enjoy doing and put a lot of effort into it. I'll post some pictures up later in the season so you can get a taste of what we've done!
